Strikers across 20 top-flight leagues with at least 360 league minutes this season, ranked by xG per 90. Updates every night · refreshed 17 October 2026.

What the numbers mean

The best striker in the world is a pub argument; the striker getting the best chances is a number. This list ranks strikers across 20 leagues by expected goals per 90 minutes, which is the purest measure of who keeps arriving where the goals are, whatever the finishing has done so far.

The bars put each striker against the whole pool: xG per 90 for the headline, shots per 90 for the volume, xG per shot for the quality of the average chance, and goals per shot for the finishing. A full bar means the top of that group, and the league on each card says where the numbers were made.

The list rebuilds every night from the latest matches, so it will move as the season goes on. The date on each card says when it last changed.

Which leagues count?

The 20 top-flight leagues FDscout follows in full, across Europe and the Americas. A striker needs at least 360 league minutes this season to qualify.

Why per 90 and not total xG?

Leagues are at different points in their seasons and strikers play different minutes, so totals would reward the players who have simply played more. Per 90 puts them on the same footing.

How often does it update?

Every night, from the latest matches. The order, the cards and the table rebuild together, and the date on each card says when the list last changed.

Every one of these players has a full FDscout profile. Percentile radars against every strikers across 20 leagues in 30 leagues, role scores, traits, and a Compass reading of how he plays. Start with Mikkel Ladefoged → or see what Unlimited unlocks →

Reading the list

The league on each card matters: an xG per 90 of 0.8 in a league with weak defences is not the same as 0.8 in the Premier League, and the shots-per-90 bar shows whether the number comes from volume or from quality. Each name opens a full FDscout profile where every striker is measured against his own league and against the rest.
