What the numbers mean
A player in the last year of his contract can talk to foreign clubs from January and leave for nothing in the summer, which is why this list matters to the selling club, the buying clubs and the agent. The date on each card is the contract end in our data; clubs sometimes hold an option to extend, which does not show here.
The bars put each player against every Championship player in the same position on the list: average match rating for the level, goal involvements per 90 for the output, appearances and minutes for how much he is relied on. A full bar means the top of that group.
The list rebuilds every night from the latest matches, so it will move as the season goes on. The date on each card says when it last changed.
Who is on the list?
Every Championship player whose contract ends by the summer of 2027, according to the contract dates in our data, with at least 90 league minutes this season. Options to extend are not counted, so a club may still keep him.
Why rank by minutes?
Minutes are the clearest sign of how much a club relies on a player. The most-used players out of contract are the ones whose clubs face the biggest decision, and the ones other clubs watch closest.
How often does it update?
Every night, from the latest matches. The order, the cards and the table rebuild together, and the date on each card says when the list last changed.
Reading the list
The days-left figure on each card is to the contract end, not to the January window when a player can begin talking to clubs abroad, which is 6 months earlier. Age decides what the number means: a 24-year-old on this list is a sale or a renewal this winter; a 33-year-old is a decision for the summer. Each name opens a full FDscout profile.
