What the numbers mean
A chance created, or key pass, is the pass before a shot. It does not care whether the shot went in, which makes it a fairer measure of a creator than assists, where a striker's miss costs the passer. Big chances are the ones a player would be expected to score more often than not, and they are the better guide to who is opening defences rather than recycling the ball on the edge of the box.
The bars put each player against every Premier League outfield player with 180 minutes: chances per 90 for the rate, big chances for the quality, assists for the outcome, and passes into the final third per 90 for how much of the build-up runs through him. A full bar means the top of that group.
The list rebuilds every night from the latest matches, so it will move as the season goes on. The date on each card says when it last changed.

What is a key pass?
The pass before a shot. A chance created and a key pass are the same thing: the player set up an attempt, whether or not it went in. Big chances are the subset a player would be expected to score more often than not.
Why not just count assists?
An assist needs the shooter to score, so a creator in a side with poor finishers gets punished for misses that were nothing to do with him. Chances created measures the pass on its own merit, and the assists column sits beside it for the outcome.
How often does it update?
Every night, from the latest matches. The order, the cards and the table rebuild together, and the date on each card says when the list last changed.
Reading the list
A high total with few big chances is a player who shoots the pass early and often; a shorter list of chances with a high big-chance share is the one who waits for the killer ball.
